Welcome to our Scrimshawed Cues Page      Maybe this should really be called the Fantasy Art Page as this page is for all the scrimshaw work that falls outside of the Comix, Rodeo and Nude Art Cues. There are currently no cues to display here but by the end of 2009, I hope to have at least one – an M. C. Escher inspired piece of artwork – shown here. 2012 Update. Well, the Escher cue has not come about yet but I have that, if the economy does not completely fail before 2014, to have one done as my playing cue. Time will tell. This year I am going to try and have a cue done for the AZB cue of the year contest. Any suggestions as to the base woods for this??      Over time, all cues done in this broad category will be displayed here. From the pictures maybe you will be inspired to order a cue with artwork of your own choosing or to order a cue like one shown. From pool to poker, fantasy to sci-fi, hunting to fishing, classic art to art deco, maybe just a name, belly up to your design table and show us what you would like on a one of a kind scrimshawed  cue.      As usual, Howard has the last word on what he will or will not scrim and pricing depends on size & density of the art work and complexity & materials used in the cue. Pricing starts at $700.00.      At the very least, we hope you enjoy looking at the cues displayed here, whether buying or just browsing, and see pool cues as functional art and a way to combine your passion for pool with the other loves in your life.
